  • Carla is Chief Operating Officer for The Nebraska Ambulatory Surgical Center and The Nebraska Neurosurgery Group. She brings to NASC 26 years of nursing experience and 16 years of administrator experience. Carla’s career has included multiple years of intensive care/critical care nursing at a regional trauma center. With her success in caring for patients and serving as a team charge nurse, Carla was promoted into ICU management and being an educator of fellow nursing professionals.

    In 2009, Carla entered the field of ambulatory surgical care and quickly rose to the rank of ASC Director of Nursing and facility Administrator. She has overseen ASC facility peer review programs, initiated a robust patient outcome benchmarking program, and implemented business and clinical improvements to assure optimal patient care. In her 11 years of ASC leadership, Carla has successfully achieved AAAHC and Medicare accreditation, for her facilities, without any major deficiency. At NASC, Carla is responsible for monitoring and preparing facility Quality, Patient Safety, Peer Review, Risk Management, and Performance Improvement reports.

    On a national level, Carla is a respected contributor to the field of outpatient surgical care and administration. She has participated in multiple meetings throughout the country and is routinely sought out for her advice and leadership. Carla was featured on a Becker’s Hospital Review podcast where she discussed leading healthcare during uncertain time and developing a positive ASC staff culture.

    Carla grew up on a farm and was a state champion hurdler for Clarks, NE. She attended Wayne State where she played Division II basketball. Carla graduated from Bryan School of Nursing.

    In her free time, Carla enjoys playing golf, traveling and spending time with her family.

    Carla’s goals are to create an environment at NASC which gives patients the highest quality care and professionalism during their surgical experience. Her objective is to make NASC the first choice in surgery for all patients in the state and region.

Jody Olsen
Business Manager

  • Jody grew up in Lincoln, NE. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems. She has 28 years of experience in the medical community.
    Jody began her career as a Surgical Technician and Materials Manager and grew into the role of Business and Practice managers within the Lincoln medical community

    Jody has been sought after as a consultant for various medical offices to assist them to run more efficiently and provide them resources to better manage their practice and provide the best patient care. She has been involved in starting up 2 of the first physician and hospital owned surgery centers in NE!

    Jody enjoys pickleball, Traveling, and spending time with her family.

    Fun Fact: Jody has been lucky enough to travel to 5 of the 7 continents! She is also the only person in her family that is right handed


  • Becca has worked in the field of surgery for 26 years. She has experience as a surgical technologist in the intense areas of neurosurgery, trauma surgery, pain management, orthopedics, and plastic/reconstructive surgery. Becca’s success and ability to lead allowed her to become a surgical materials manager. Becca assures complete success for each patient at NASC by obtaining and maintaining state-of-the-art instruments and technologies for the various surgical teams and procedures.

    Becca grew up on an acreage in Seward County. She received her associate degree in surgical technology from Southeast Community College. Becca is an avid bike rider, having completed the absolute grueling UNBOUND gravel 100-mile race in Kansas. She also enjoys camping and hiking. Becca has already visited 13 national parks, with the goal of getting to all 63!

    Becca aims to make all patients at NASC feel safe and secure – she appreciates their trust!

Barb Stanczyk
Surgery Scheduler/Front Desk Lead

  • Barb grew up in Lincoln, NE. She has over 10 years of experience in the medical field. Her duties have included managing the front office, scheduling, and many more. Barb is the heartbeat of NASC! Her warm, welcoming smile helps patients feel right at ease from start to finish.

    Barb enjoys reading, lounging at her pool anytime the suns out and growing plants.

    Fun Fact: Barb is a huge Steelers and Cubs Fan
